TinyPilot's latest release reduces H.264 latency by up to 43% with High-performance mode and adds LAN Monitor, a new tool for discovering and monitoring devices on your local networks.

Lower-latency H.264 on Voyager devices

With this update, latency on the default H.264 setting drops from about 140 milliseconds to about 100 milliseconds - a 29% improvement.

Enable High-performance mode in System > Video Settings to reduce latency down to about 80 milliseconds - a 43% improvement from previous releases. High-performance mode uses more power and generates more heat; disable it if the stream becomes unstable or you notice other performance issues.

LAN Monitor

LAN Monitor discovers and monitors devices on the local networks TinyPilot is connected to. Open System > LAN Monitor, enable discovery, choose which interfaces to scan, and monitor up to 25 devices with friendly names and presence status.
